The Auburn Ski Club Training Center is the on-snow base for the Auburn Ski Club Associates programs. Owned and operated by Auburn Ski Club Inc., the Training Center was created to provide a facility for the use and enjoyment of winter sports by athletes from the greater foothill region surrounding Auburn. With a legacy dating back to 1928, the Auburn Ski Club Inc. created the Training Center with the objective of supporting reduced-cost participation in junior Nordic and Alpine training, youth development, recreation and related social activities, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and the alpine events of slalom, giant slalom, super G, downhill and snowboarding.

The center is located adjacent to Boreal Mountain Resort on Donner Summit at 19749 Boreal Ridge Road. From I-80 take the Castle Peak exit and drive to the west end of the Boreal parking lot. Our training center is one of the few combined Alpine and Nordic training centers in the country. The training center blends together an atmosphere of national caliber athletes, family recreational skiing, and FIS-level competition venues.

On weekends the center is alive with excited groups of Alpine and Nordic kids heading off for a day of skiing while rubbing shoulders with nationally-ranked athletes. The ASC Training center is operated jointly by the Auburn Ski Club Associates and the Auburn Ski Club Inc.

Training Center Hours

• Open Wednesday through Sunday
• Office hours 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Cross country ski trails hours 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (weather permitting, trail report)
• Closed Monday and Tuesday (unless holiday period)

Trail System

The Club maintains its own cross country trail system for recreational skiing, training, and racing. The 15 km of trails are groomed for striding and skating every day, Wednesday through Sunday.
