Congratulations to ASC Snowboard head coach Dylan Omlin and his program, both have been recognized as the best in the country!
Dylan has been selected to receive the 2010 USSA Snowboarding Domestic Coach of the Year Award.
USSA President Bill Marolt said of Dylan’s award - "Dylan has been with the Auburn Ski Club for over 10 years. He is primarily responsible for the evolution of the Riders Team and Snowboard program. He has coached many successful athletes who have achieved results at the USASA Nationals as well as US Open and Van’s Triple Crown. He is a former coach at Craig Kelly’s snowboard camps and the United States Snowboard Training Center. Dylan rode professionally from 1994 to 2000. He was instrumental in the development of the high school program in the Truckee area. This program now has over 180 snowboard competitors. Several athletes under Dylan's guidance this year have qualified for the FIS Junior World championship team."
In awarding the Auburn Ski Club the 2010 Snowboard Club of the Year Marolt said,
“The Auburn Ski Club does it all from hosting a great stop on the Revolution Tour to producing talented young riders, including two athletes named to the 2010 Junior Worlds Team. The club has a well-rounded philosophy and is dedicated to keeping athletes involved in winter sports and having fun.You are to be congratulated for your club’s commitment to the sport. You should be proud of your leadership efforts”.

Dylan Omlin has been nominated for National Coach of the Year with USSA US Snowboarding. In addition ASCA has been nominated as club of the year because of Dylan and his Rider's program Success. Congratulations DYLAN!!!
Dylan has been with the Auburn Ski Club for 13 years. He is primarily responsible for the evolution of the Riders (snowboard) Team and Snowboard Program. He has coached many successful athletes that have achieved results at the USSA level, USASA Nationals, as well as US Open and Van’s Triple Crown. He is a former coach at Craig Kelly’s snowboard camps and the United States Snowboard Training Center. Dylan rode professionally from 1994 to 2000. Dylan has been instrumental in the development of the high school program in the Foothill and Tahoe/Truckee area.
This program now has over 180 snowboard competitors! Several athletes under Dylan's guidance this year have qualified for the FIS Junior World championship team.
